This single cask (cask no. P10) from the Chalong Bay distillery (610 bottles in total) is the second bottle in a collection of limited editions inspired by the Thai lunar calendar, called Lunar Series .

Each year is symbolized by an animal and 2023 is dedicated to the Rabbit ( Lunar Series #2 )

Distilled in Thailand then aged for 30 months in an Ex-Shochu cask (Kome Shochu), this rum was bottled at its natural strength.

Aged in a barrel that contained a traditional Japanese alcohol, a Shochu made from rice.

Of remarkable voluptuousness and freshness, its aromatic and taste palette brilliantly restores the aromas and flavors of vesou of incredible purity. Crystalline and mineral, it also reveals itself as vanilla, tangy and freshly herbaceous.

Nose
Fresh and heady: fresh cane juice (vesou), pineapple, pear, almond, rice, sugarcane; with air, tuberose, geranium, mustard seed.
Palate
Elegant and dynamic: a vanilla, lemony and herbal attack, then freshly pressed cane juice and fibrous cane.
Finish
Long: vanilla, coconut milk, rosemary and sage, then cinnamon, grated ginger, agave and rice pudding.
