Lanna, organic Thai jasmine rice spirit
Lanna is a rice vodka, an organic Thai jasmine rice spirit. It is distilled in small batches at The Distillery Phuket in Chalong (Thailand), bottled at 40% ABV and sold in a 70 cl bottle. According to the brand, it was created by a collective of Thai bartenders.
Khao hom mali jasmine rice
Lanna is distilled from Thai jasmine rice (khao hom mali), a variety renowned for its fragrance, which the World Rice Conference named the world's best fragrant rice. The rice used is EU organic and Fairtrade certified. It is grown without pesticides, without chemicals and without burning, in partnership with cooperatives of local growers who own their land. The brand highlights a traceable supply chain.
A rice-growing tradition
The brand notes that Thailand is among the oldest rice civilisations, with rice shaping life in the country for more than 5,000 years. The brand links the name Lanna to the traditions of northern Thailand.
Production
Every stage is managed in-house, from harvest to bottling. Distillation takes place in a direct-fired French copper still. Lanna contains no additives, sugar or added flavourings.
Flavour profile
Lanna has a silky, smooth texture, with delicate floral notes and a subtle sweetness that comes from the natural aromas of the organic jasmine rice.
Awards
In 2026, Lanna received a gold medal at the Global Spirits Masters organised by The Spirits Business, as well as a gold medal with 93 points at the International Bartender Spirits Awards.
